That's 3 for 2. 3 US Army Generals in 2 days have called for Rumsfeld's resignation....
Yesterday it was Army Major General John Batiste, who commanded the 1st Infantry Division in Iraq in 2004-2005.
Today it's Maj. Gen. Charles H. Swannack Jr., who led troops on the ground in Iraq as recently as 2004 as the commander of the Army's 82nd Airborne Division, on Thursday became the fifth retired senior general in recent days to call publicly for Mr. Rumsfeld's ouster. Also Thursday, another retired Army general, Maj. Gen. John Riggs, joined in the fray.
Also, yesterday retired Army Major General John Riggs called for his resignation.
As P. Bush once said in the Presidential Debates, it's hard work. We didn't know he meant keeping track of all the calls from Army General for Rumsfeld's resignation.
But honestly, yes, Rumsfeld is the point person, the Sec'y of Defense who came up with the ludicrous assumptions we'd be welcomed with open arms and all those comments about 'dead-enders' and the insurgency, now civil war, running out of gas...But it's P. Bush's plan that Rumsfeld is implementing. It's P. Bush's talking points he's talking. Bush just lets him hang out there...taking the heat when ultimately it's P. Bush and us as citizens in a democracy that should be taking the fall. WE already are as citizens of this country when we allowed P. Bush to be voted in for a 2nd term.
